How to find jobs on the internet.

 

If you are like most Americans, then you are searching for job.  I have been looking for a job for awhile.  Here are some good places to look for jobs on the internet.

 

1.  CareerBuilder.

 

            CareerBuilder is good place to look for jobs.  You can search for jobs by location or occupation.  Once you find and send your resume to the employer, the site lets provides a list of recommended jobs that you can check and send your resume to those employers.

 

2.  Monster

 

            Monster is a good place to look for jobs.  Like CareerBuilder you can search by occupation or location.   It does provide a list of recommended jobs, but not as many jobs as CareerBuilder.

 

3.   Craigslist

 

            In Craigslist you can search for jobs by location.   Once you select your location you can then narrow the selection down by occupation.  There are lists for labor and professional jobs.

 

4.   Job Service

 

            Job Service is good place to look for jobs.  You can search by county or location.  Depending on you state, you may have a locale job service.   I have had several job interviews using this search method.

 

5.   Yahoo Jobs

 

            Yahoo Jobs allows you to search by location and occupation.  

 

6.   Your local paper.

 

 Your local paper is a good place to find jobs.  Most papers allow you to access the paper online.      

 

7.    Professional websites. 

 

If you are member of a profession, then check out that professions web page.  For instance, if you are a lawyer, then you should look at the classifieds at the state bar website.    

 

8.   Contact people personally.

 

            If this the online search does not work, then you should contact people directly and let them know you are looking for work.
